public final class RawRequest extends Object
Sends any request, like ipmitool raw: bmc.raw(0x2C, 0x01).data(0xDC, 0x01).execute() is Get DCMI Capabilities Info. The reply is returned whatever its completion code.

    • data

      public RawRequest data(int... bytes)
      Sets the request data.
      Parameters:
      bytes - the data bytes, each 0 to 255
      Returns:
      this request
      Throws:
      IllegalArgumentException - when a byte is out of range

    • timeout

      public RawRequest timeout(Duration deadline)
      Overrides the deadline of the client for this request.
      Parameters:
      deadline - the time the request may take, session setup included
      Returns:
      this request

    • execute

      public RawResponse execute()
      Sends the request and waits for its reply. An error completion code is not an exception: it is in the reply.
      Returns:
      the reply
      Throws:
      IpmiTimeoutException - when the BMC does not answer: whether it carried the request out is unknown
      IpmiClientException - when the session cannot be opened
